  • OUSIA

“To Be or I Am” draws from the internal state of presence—the quiet but powerful space of simply existing. This piece explores the intersection of movement and mindfulness, encouraging the dancer to embody emotion as it surfaces, and inviting the audience to witness raw presence in motion. It is less about narrative and more about being: fully, presently, and unapologetically. (Premier 2025) Cleveland, OH

  • Astral

Inspired by the spiritual practice of astral projection, this duet explores the concept of the soul separating from the physical body during deep states of meditation. Through synchronized movement and contrasting dynamics, the dancers represent both the physical self and the astral body mirroring each other, diverging, and reconnecting in a journey beyond the material world. The choreography plays with the tension between grounding and transcendence, stillness and flight. As the dancers move in harmony, they evoke the feeling of an out-of-body experience weightless, expansive, and ethereal. The piece invites the audience to consider the boundaries between body and spirit, presence and projection, consciousness and the unknown. (Premier 2025) Cleveland, OH

  • Hope

This ensemble piece, choreographed for eight dancers, is a powerful exploration of human resilience and strength in the face of adversity. Through dynamic group formations, emotionally charged movement, and moments of individual vulnerability, the work tells a collective story of endurance how we rise, adapt, and persevere when confronted with life’s obstacles. Set within the context of Kentucky Ballet Theatre’s virtual production “Making a Pointe!”, the piece bridges classical technique with contemporary expression, emphasizing unity, transformation, and hope. The choreography draws on the physicality of the dancers to convey inner struggle and triumph, illustrating the unbreakable human spirit through shared motion and mutual support. Though performed virtually, the impact of the work remains intimate and immediate, inviting the audience to reflect on their own strength and the universal journey of overcoming. (Premier 2020) Lexington, KY
